COMMERCIALS & Features

journey to vanderbilt

I edited and created graphics for this project for Vanderbilt University:

“Have you ever wondered what it's like coming to Vanderbilt and spending your first few months on campus as a new student? We sent three incoming students disposable cameras to capture their moments and share their, ‘Journey to Vanderbilt’.”

Goodstock commercial

I storyboarded, scripted, shot, and edited this commercial for in-game use for the Texas Stars. This video had an extremely quick turnaround and required detailed coordination between our sponsorship department and the Goodstock representative, but we were able to get it done!

History made episode 4

2020 was difficult year for all of us, so we wanted to work on a project to lift the spirits of St. Louis Blues fans. We revisited the team’s dramatic Stanley Cup win with a four-part documentary series and I was responsible for putting together this final episode. It was a massive project completed in a week that took a tremendous of teamwork, but I’m proud of how it came out!

Met the match

This feature won a regional Emmy in 2019 for “Excellence in Human Interest - Program/Feature Segment”. I co-produced this with my boss, Trevor Nickerson, and edited it as well. It is a tremendous story that we truly wanted to do justice to, connecting the sister of one of our current players to a young woman in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant.

IN their shoes: Levi’s Road Trip

This feature won a regional Emmy in 2018 for “Excellence in Human Interest - Program/Feature Segment”. Levi had lost his sister in a car crash, so the Blues signed him to a contract and took him on a road trip with the team to boost his spirits. My colleagues captured some incredible moments on that trip which definitely made my job easier. The challenge was finding the best way to tell the story when your subject is a shy 8-year-old!

Mercy Ballas Groundbreaking

This video capped a massive team effort across multiple departments as Mercy celebrated the official groundbreaking of a new building in the St. Louis area.

Behind the Scenes: FSMW

We set up a bunch of GoPros and shot a ton of footage to show the fans what a game day is like for our terrific Fox Sports Midwest crew. There is so much for them to do and everything happens so fast, which made showing how it all plays out a unique challenge.

Summer with the Champs

I was fortunate enough to be able to go up to Canada for a few days to cover several of our players during their day with the Stanley Cup. These were two of the features I shot and edited from that trip. I also conducted all the interviews on the spot, which was particularly rewarding when it came to telling the stories of some of the fans in the Saskatchewan piece.
